Hail Like No Other..

Damages running into the thousands have been reported in the Pieters Industrial area, after a hail storm reaped havoc on the afternoon of Monday 28 April.
According to police several other areas, like Ezakheni were also affected and that the municipality disaster management will survey the area to determine the hail damages caused, during the freak storm. It is reported that at least 20 cm deep hail laid along the roads of Pieters and that some of the hail was estimated to be the size of chicken eggs.
"The road was closed for approximately 2 hours after the incident to clear the road of the collision and hail. No one was injured in the incident," added Captain Charmaine Struwig.
