Four brides, one wedding

Municipal Manager of Indaka Municipality Milton Mbele said four ' do's when he tied the knot with four brides, dressed in white, during a packed marquee at Weenen, Ladysmith.

Thobile Vilakazi, Zaneele Langa, Happiness Mdlolo and Smangele Cele all agree upon the Polygamous marriage and added that it is important that they get along and respect one another.

Thobile Vilakazi, who had been one of the four brides, had been married to Mbele for 12 years and has 11 children.

Firemen brave hazardous truck on fire

"We are lucky today for the wind is blowing down wards and away from us," said one of the scene, after a truck carrying asbestos was set alight along the N3,South Bound, Van Reenem's Pass.

According to officials on the scene of the truck-fire, the chemical fumes lifting from the blazing truck were hazardous, and those that had gotten close to that smoke where given masks to wear.

Celebrating 5 years fighting HIV/Aids

Five years ago Mpilonhole Project set out an ambitious, but determined mission to make a meaningful contribution in the battle against cruel scourge of HIV/Aids, that has been ravaging all communities across the country.

The Mpilonhole Project, recently celebrated their 5th year anniversary and had invited VIP and other guests to share in this joyous occasion with one and all, including those that had assisted in making the Project successful.

The best of Worlds

Food, glorious food was served to restaurant- goers, as music for the soul was provided as light entrainment.

Fires destroy farmlands

Farmers armed with water pumps battled for hours as wind driven fierce fires gutted through farmlands, leaving nothing but heavy smoke and burnt debris in it's sight.

Runaway fires were also reported in most parts of the uKhahlamba Drakenberg Park. Reports suggest around 5000 or 6000 hectares of the World Heritage sites have been destroyed.
