Christmas is time for loving

As I hear the Christmas carols on the radio, in the shops, on television, everywhere my heart is filled with joy and love for everyone. I suppose this is the magic of Christmas.

Filled with this spirit i would like to extend a special thank you to my colleagues my fellow councillors and EXCO members, the Municipal Manager, the Heads of Department and each and every Municipal Staff member, for another year's hard work and dedication.

Local author donates her "vision of God"

Local author Philile Mhlanga donated her first written book, ' vision of God' to the Ladysmith Library recently.

" I would like to take this opportunity, to give others the chance to read my book, to read about my life changing experiences and how the word of God has brought me to this point in my life," said Philile as members of the Ladysmith Library and Councillors welcomed the local author.

Youth day soccer action attraction

ABI Special Event Coordinator Rajen Motheram hands over an ABI trophy soccer-kit, balls and medals to the Thembalihle Steadville Youth Organization.

Sairvile Nthulli, Xolani Xulie and Cyril Vilekazi receive the new gear, which will be used in the Sidlalsonke Soccer Tournament that is Scheduled for 16 December 2009 in the Steadville ground 4.

Man stoned to death

The dead body of a Burford man was found near his homestead. It is believed that the deceased was stoned to death.

According to police, Monfli Lukhele was last seen by his sister Duduzile Dorcas, before his body was discovered by members of the Burford community.

Missing mother found

A Ladysmith mum who went missing recently has been found.

It was four days of "hell" for the Dass family, after the bazare disappearance of their 55 year old mother Amrithadevi Rajkumar Dass.

"Where is my mother?" was the question from her eldest son Viren Dass, in an interview with the Ladysmith herald, just after reports had surfaced from the police and members of the community
