110th anniversary of the siege of Ladysmith

Next year means more to Ladysmith than the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and there will be increased focus on the 110th anniversary of the Siege of Ladysmith and the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the 1860 Indian settlers.

The Municipality will assume the role of key partner with the community to come up with a range of initiatives to celebrate all three events. With the possibility of 50000 English supports descending on South Africa for the World Cup,

Celebrating 5 years fighting HIV/Aids

Five years ago Mpilonhole Project set out an ambitious, but determined mission to make a meaningful contribution in the battle against cruel scourge of HIV/Aids, that has been ravaging all communities across the country.

The Mpilonhole Project, recently celebrated their 5th year anniversary and had invited VIP and other guests to share in this joyous occasion with one and all, including those that had assisted in making the Project successful.
