Winter Warmth 2009 is now in full swing

We're buying blankets for children and families who have no way of staying warm this winter...that's what Winter Warmth does.

East Coast Radio's Winter Warmth 2009 campaign, proudly brought to you by The Hub, is now in full swing, and even though donations have been pouring in, we still need yours. Even if you donate just one blanket, you know that you've saved someone from that bitter cold this winter. That's the warmth that makes a difference!

Over the next three weeks, East Coast Radio will continue in their attempts to gather enough blankets to reach the far ends of KwaZulu-NataL We don't do this alone of course. Our official sponsors this

Mayor’s tribute

The wreck of a vehicle lies a few feet from the plaque that honoured those that worked hard in making a difference to the ten families at St Chads.

A few days after the official opening and unveiling of the plaque by the Emnambithi/Ladysmith Mayor Councillor DCP Mazibuko and MEC for Local Government Housing and Traditional Affairs, Mr Mike Mabuyakhulu, to honour those that have built ten houses for the ten families of St Chads, a collision almost ruined the progress achieved. According to officials on the scene of the collision, the plaque fell a few inches short of being smashed by the taxi.
